Our Sutton Coldfield grammar school of girls project has recently been completed and handed over in readiness for the new academic year.
Our director Carl Holloway talked the audience through approaching design for a low energy school building. Describing how every aspect of the architectural design sets out to articulate an energy efficient story through the building design.
Using techniques as high level north lighting creating the character of the building along with brickwork detailing designed to shade Southern sun by incorporating deep window reveals. Splayed brickwork to the North openly welcomes North light.
The opening ceremony witnessed a truly inspiring speech from ex-pupil Joy Dempsey.
