How We Created This: Designed and manufactured in the UK, the table is designed to be light, delicate and transparent.

The apparently single piece of frame allows views to the floor below and to people opposite.
We initially explored manufacturing with polished aluminium and polyester-moulding compound, before focusing on the more robust solution of cold drawn mild steel. This achieves sharp lines and a smooth finish.

The Trace has been described as having a ‘clear character’ and as ‘a modern classic’, and is now sold across the world, including as a special edition in MOMA, New York.
